River Plate, champion of the 2014 Copa Sudamericana, welcomes San Lorenzo, 2014 Libertadores champion, on Friday night in the 2015 Recopa Sudamericana.
San Lorenzo got interesting results in preparation matches ahead of this championship while River needs to regroup after the resounding rout suffered against archenemy Boca (5-0) in one of the pre-season friendlies.
San Lorenzo, coached by Edgardo Bauza, prepared in Miami, United States, where they beat Atletico Nacional of Colombia (2-0) and Miami United (6-0). They closed out their friendlies with a 1-0 victory over Godoy Cruz in Mendoza (west).
"We've put together a competitive squad to face the schedule we have this year. A dynamic and attacking squad," said Bauza about a team that was reinforced with the acquisition of two midfielders, Sebastian Blanco and Franco Mussis.
