River Plate won the Recopa Sudamericana by beating San Lorenzo de Almagro by the same score from the first leg: 1-0 and with the same goal scorer, Carlos Sanchez.
Referee Nestor Pitana and his assistants admirably called a game that shows the progress of South American arbitration. There was a little problem in the last stages of the first half but it was overcome thanks to the maturity and wisdom of the referee and his linemates.
The President and Vice-President, Matías Lammens and Marcelo Tinelli of San Lorenzo de Almagro, as well as team captain Juan Mercier, regretted the episode that affected assistant referee Juan Pablo Belatti.
We now offer our readers the images of the 2015 Recopa on a night that River Plate was front and center.
