Sao Paulo won the U-20 Copa Libertadores after defeating Liverpool of Uruguay by one goal.
The winning goal was scored by Lucas Fernandez who was set up nicely by Luiz Araujo and David Neres. That was all that was needed for the Tricolor Paulista to take the crown to their country much to the delight of their many fans.
President Alejandro Dominguez W-S, presented the medals to the finalists and the trophy to the champions. He said he was "very happy to see so many young people who demonstrated their talents in this tournament, which I say was successful."
The team from Morumbi is the third champion of the tournament, which was held earlier on two occasions, in 2011 and 2012.
Thus, the powerful Sao Paulo adds a U-20 Copa Libertadores to its trophy showcase.

Colombian club Cortuluá took the third place at the U-20 Copa Libertadores after winning by the slightest difference against Lanús.
Duvan Ramirez scored the only goal of the match with three minutes remaining in the first half.
