Carlos Amadeu is the new coach of the Brazilian Under-17 national team, which is scheduled to play at Chile's World Cup, from October 17th to November 8th, 2015. The call for the first phase of training will be this week.
"There is a list of players who were not called for the Sudamericano Tournament in March and others who did not play. In this first stage we will give opportunities to those players".
The coach has a lot of professional experience at the base category. He was at the helm of Brazil's Vitoria U-20 team, and was champion of Brazil's U-20 Cup in 2012 and runner-up in 2014.
The invitation to lead the U-17 national team was made by coordinator Erasmo Damiani, who knew of Amadeu's work ethic.
"When Damiani invited me, I considered it, not as an invitation, but rather a call and I was ready for the challenge," said the new coach of the Brazilian team.
The first phase of training for the World Cup will be in Itu, from May 11-16, a period in which the team will play three games. Then they will participate in a friendly tournament in South Korea.
