Colombia's U-20 head coach, Carlos Restrepo, on Wednesday lamented the elimination of his team in the second round of the World Cup in New Zealand-2015 in Wellington, at the hands of the United States (0-1), but predicts a bright future for "a generation of charm" with a long road ahead.
"We wanted more. It's a pity we failed to score, something that is necessary to win every game," added Restrepo at the news conference, referring to the territorial domain of play his squad displayed, but could not score even with a penalty shot by Jarlon Barrera after 83 minutes which was contained.
"But I'm delighted with this generation of players, which is an excellent one," he added and predicted a great future for many of these players, while engaging in a broader and less precise analysis of the match.
"I'm sure some of these guys have a great career ahead of them. This is just the beginning of a long road for them," said Restrepo, a little disappointed after colliding with the North American barrier in the second round, as happened in Turkey -2013.
