The Brazilian women's national team qualified on Wednesday for the final of the Pan American Games in Toronto-2015 by defeating Mexico 4-2.
Brazil was able to advance due to their efforts in the second part of the game, as they encountered an Aztec team that was going to fight until the end.
The legendary Brazilian, Cristiane, opened the scoring after four minutes, but soon after, a score against her own team by Fabiana put the scoreboard at 1-1 (25). The Mexican made it clear that they were going to leave everything on the field.
Before the half, Brazil's Rafaelle helped her team regain the lead (45 + 1), but another score against her own team by Arianna Romero seconds later extended the lead by two goals (46).
Midfielder, Nayeli Rangel, pulled the lead back by just one score, but with 20 minutes left in the game (70) Rafaelle extinguished any hope for the Mexicans with what became her brace (73).
