The Brazilians got a decisive 5-1 win over Venezuela on Thursday in the continuation of the Fustal Copa América – FIFA 2015.
Tiaguinho, Pito (2), Rodrigo and Cico scored for Brazil. The only goal for the Vinotinto was scored by Jose "Cheo" Falcon.
Later, the Albiceleste thrashed the hosts and secured a place in the semifinals.
The first half ended with a comfortable Argentina lead thanks to goals from Matias Kruger (x2) and Lucho Gonzalez.
The team coached by Giustozzi got a surprise as Dario Meze pulled one back for Ecuador. However a few minutes later the Argentines restored the three goal lead with a goal by Alamiro Vaporaki. Gonzalo Abdala would score the fifth Argentine goal.
With the win, Argentina comes in second place in Group A and will face Brazil in the semis on Saturday starting at 9:00 pm.
