Pablo Pedraza, Real Potosi defender, was an emergency call-up for Bolivia's qualifying match against Ecuador on Tuesday.
Pedraza, 20 years old, will replace Jorge Cuellar, Wilstermann defenseman, who is out through injury, said team doctor Fabian Pacheco.
Cuellar, who did not play in the opener against Uruguay in La Paz last week, "will at least be out a month to recover fully" from his injury, explained Pacheco.
In recent training, Cuellar was tested along with Edward Zenteno and Brazilian-Bolivian Fernando Marteli.
Julio Cesar Baldivieso' players "completed its preparations in a closed-door practice in the Hernando Siles stadium," reported the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF).
"The players practiced defense and ball recovery. Then the coach made up two teams for a scrimmage," added the report.
