On Thursday, November 5, the semifinal of the Women's Copa Libertadores was held in the Polideportivo Sur - Envigado.
The first match was between Brazilian teams, defending champion Sao Jose, who fell by the minimum difference to Ferroviaria.
Adriane Dos Santos scored just 40 seconds into the game for the only goal that Ferroviaria would need. The rest of the match was a back and forth affair. The goalkeeper for Ferroviaria made some important saves that prevented Sao Jose to get back in the game. With this result Ferroviaria became the first finalist of the tournament.
Next, in the same stadium, Colo Colo of Chile took on Argentina's UAI Urquiza. The first goal didn't come until the 41st minute when Camila Sáez headed home a corner.
In the second period, at 79 minutes, Francisca Lara made it 2-0 for Colo Colo, which was how the game ended. Thus Colo Colo will face Ferroviaria for the title to be played on Sunday, November 8th, in the Atanasio Girardot stadium in Medellin starting at 12:00 noon.
At 9 am in the same stadium Sao Jose will face UAI Urquiza for the bronze medal.
