With the 2-0 victory of Nigeria over Mali, the FIFA Under-17 World Cup Chile-2015 came to an end. It was a magnificent tournament in all aspects.
CONMEBOL president and FIFA vice president, Juan Angel Napout, witnessed the final between the African teams and later attended the awards ceremony.
Napout commented that "South America was once again front and center thanks to this magnificent World Cup that just concluded. It was an excellent tournament in all aspects. Chile's leadership, headed by President Sergio Jadue, and all Chilean fans, have again shown what we had already offered on the occasion of the Copa America in June this year."
He added that "although this time the title did not stay in South America, yes we have the satisfaction of a wonderful tournament whose development has been impeccable. And that for us is as important as winning a championship. As president of CONMEBOL I extend my congratulations to the leadership and the Chilean people for this great World Cup."
