The Colombian U-23 national team, which is preparing to face the United States in the playoffs for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, won the CFA International Youth Football Tournament title on Sunday held in the city of Wuhan, China.
With a goal from Roger Martinez, player of Argentina club Aldosivi, the team led by Carlos Restrepo beat Morocco 1-0 in their third match of the week. With 7 points the team claimed the biggest prize of this important prepatory tournament ahead of Rio-2016.
Colombia was unbeaten in the tournament with wins against China (1-0) and Morocco (1-0) and a draw against South Korea (2-2). 21 year old Roger Martinez of Cartagena, was the top scorer with three goals.
