Colombia defeats Uruguay

Colombia thrashed Uruguay 4-0 on Thursday to qualify to the final of the Sudamericano.

After a very even first half, but with few chances, the match was decided in the second half.

The goals were scored by Valentina Restrepo, Leicy Santos (penalty), Juliana Ocampo and Laura Renteria.

Colombia thus finished with seven points while Uruguay ended the group stage with four points. The teams that qualified out of Group B were Argentina and Colombia.

Ecuador goes home after winning 4-1

Ecuador opened the scoring but Michelle Cabrera tied the game a few minutes later. Before heading into the break Mariela Jacome scored the second goal for Ecuador.

In the second half both teams looked for the winner with great determination and it was a back and forth affair minute by minute. It would be Kerlly Real who would expand Ecuador's lead to 3-1. Mariela Jacome would then score again for the fourth goal for the Tricolor.

Despite the victory, the Ecuadorians did not reach the next phase, where Colombia, on goal difference took the ticket to the finals.
