The Copa América has a name for its official mascot. The red fox that stands as the emblem of the tournament will be called 'Zincha'.
The name is a mix of the words "fox" and "fan" in Spanish and won out over the other two options which were Andi and Kul. The name Andi refers to the Andes mountains and Kul comes from "culpeo", the family from which comes the Chilean fox.
The winning name won by a large margin over the others getting 47.1% of the votes, being followed by Kul with 25.7%, and Andi with 27.2%.
Zincha launched his official Twitter account, where he thanked the participation of the people who voted. @Zincha_ca2015 is the user name.
