Gremio, Atlético Mineiro and Sao Paulo in the Libertadores

Corinthians, Atlético Mineiro, Gremio and Sao Paulo on Sunday in the final round of the 2015 Brazilian Championship sealed their place in next year's Copa Libertadores. On the other hand Vasco da Gama was relegated to the second division.

With champion Corinthians already confirmed three rounds ago, the focus of the Brasileirao became who would make up the so-called G-4, earning a bye to the Libertadores.

Without any changes at the top of the standings, Corinthians drew 1-1 with modest Avai and Atletico Mineiro stayed in second place with a 3-0 win over Chapecoense. Gremio remained in third place after beating Joinville 2-0 and Sao Paulo came in fourth after winning 1-0 at Goias.

Internacional de Porto Alegre failed to overtake Sao Paulo for the last ticket to the Libertadores despite reaping a 2-0 victory against Cruzeiro.

As for the four teams that will be relegated, Vasco drew 0-0 against Curitiba and with 41 points came in 18th place and will be in the Serie B for the third time in its history. The club had been relegated to the second division in 2008 and 2013.

Also dropping down are Avai, Goias and Joinville.
