With very emotive phrases, Prof. Vanessa Aráuz, Head Coach of the Ecuadorian Women's National Team who qualified for Canada's 2015 World Cup, thanked everyone on behalf of the coaching staff and players for the support received by different entities and people and especially by the Ecuadorian Football Federation and its chairman, Mr. Luis Chiriboga Acosta.
During the act of recognition held in one of the rooms of the building of the FEF in Guayaquil, the young coach said: When I think of the word "football", the word life also comes to mind, because through this sport I have been able to feel, express, learn, grow, reach this moment and have a projection of the future.
One of the most important and yet most difficult steps in my life was to make the decision to get involved in FOOTBALL, saying important is understandable, but why difficult? Maybe most of my colleagues who played, played and continue to play football when they decided to do it no one said to them:"hey this sport is not for men", but in my case many times I did hear: "hey this sport is not for women'.
This has been a very hard road but also the best of all, knowing fighting people with dreams, wanting to do the best they can and be able to see other people say "we really can do women's football" in our country. Something that I value and respect as the law of life is teamwork and that is the main key to achieving significant victories, thanks for the support of the technical staff of the national team, and federation staff.
