Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who on Sunday won the Club World Cup with Barcelona by defeating River Plate 3-0, felt very happy for having won five titles with the Catalan club this year, as well as the Copa America with his national team.
"It was an incredible year, as I always ended up on the winning side. Now I have to think about what comes next, League, Champions League and Copa del Rey, which are primary objectives for us," he said.
Then he made reference to the conditioning of his team: "We are playing great football, and we show it in every game, even in this final against River, a very strong historical rival. We're happy to have ended the year with this win".
"River started well with pressure, and were playing their game, which made it difficult for us to control of the ball. After we scored things started to calm down. Then in the second half things opened up for us which created a lot of scoring opportunities, "he analyzed.
"I'm not surprised about this outcome. I know what I have to do, how to prepare, and how I have to train. I know how this works. This is an award for perseverance and hard work," he added.
Finally, he downplayed his success in the sport when asked if this was the happiest moment of his life.
"In that sense of happiness, I think my focus shifts to my family, which among other things, my wife is pregnant and are expecting in April. Those things makes up our happiness, rather than my work," he said.
