The first match of the Uruguayan national team in the Copa America Centenario will be against Mexico will and Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani says that it will be "very difficult."
"I think they (the Mexicans) have always shown that they have a very competitive team, with players playing in other countries and even in the Mexican league which is a very competitive league. It will be very difficult," he said at press conference at the end of a training session.
One notable absence for the Uruguayans in the opening match will be Luiz Suarez.
Suarez will not be available for the beginning of the Copa America Centenario owing to a serious muscle injury of his right thigh suffered during the final the Copa del Rey.
In his spot will most likely be youngster Diego Rolan, who Cavani said he was "very comfortable" with during the preparatory friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago last Friday at the Centenario stadium in Montevideo.
