Carlos Bacca and James Rodriguez scored for Colombia, while Victor Ayala scored for Paraguay.
Unfortunately for the Paraguayans, James recovered in time from a left shoulder dislocation suffered in the first game against the United States on Friday at the opening of the tournament.
The Real Madrid striker chimed in on both goals for his team. At 12 minutes he took a corner that fell to Carlos Bacca who finished with a header to make it 1-0. James made it 2-0 with a cannon shot 30 minutes in, his sixteenth goal with the national team.
Victor Ayala pulled on back for Paraguay in the 71st minute.
