Mr. Alejandro Dominguez Wilson-Smith on Friday August 8, 2014 assumed the leadership of the Paraguayan Football Association after the resignation of Mr. Juan Angel Napout Barreto.
 
The new president of the APF watched the final game of the Libertadores in Buenos Aires. 
 
The new president, until the time of his inauguration, was the vice president of the Central of Guarani football. His father, Osvaldo Dominguez Dibb, played for club Olimpia in Paraguay.
 
The Paraguayan national team will need to get ready for the upcoming 2015 Copa América in Chile and Russia-2018 qualifying.
