Argentina defeated Ecuador 2-1 in the opening game of the U-15 Sudamericano
The match started at 2 pm local time and before the game there was a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of Dr. Nicholas Delfino, a prominent Peruvian leader, former president of the Peruvian Football Federation, Director of the Executive Committee of the CSF and Member of Commissions of FIFA.
The Albiceleste quickly got on the scoreboard when after five minutes Federico Vietto scored. Ecuador equalized with a goal from Edgar Vivery. But Vietto again, at the 90 minute mark, sealed the victory for Argentina.

In the second match of the day Paraguay beat the host of the event, Bolivia, 3-0.
The match started at 4 pm local time and was also played at the IV Centenario stadium of Tarija. There was a minute of silence in tribute to Dr. Delfino, as in the first match.
The three albirroja goals came in the second period and all within four minutes.
Arturo Aranda opened the scoring at 65’, Fabio Villalba extended the lead at 67’ and Sergio Paz completed the scoring at 68’.
