Lionel Messi has less pain and is improving after suffering a blow to his lower back during the friendly against Honduras (1-0), said the doctor the 'Albiceleste'.
"Messi is better, with less pain than last night. His recovery is day to day, there are several treatments for this type of blow," said doctor Daniel Martinez to La Nacion newspaper.
On Saturday morning Messi stayed at the hotel and did not participate in an open practice with his team that drew some 8,000 people in the Bicentenario stadium in San Juan, 1,300 km west of Buenos Aires, the same where the friendly match was played.
The team will depart from San Juan on Saturday night on a charter flight to Santa Clara. Once in the United States the team will hold their first practice open to the press on Monday, informed the AFA.
