Juan Antonio Pizzi, coach of the Chilean national team, commented on how important it is to defend the title in the Copa America Centenario.
"Our goal is the Copa America and on that basis we have made decisions to bring the best 23 players to the tournament," said the strategist.
"We know the magnitude of the rivals and logically that to compete with them you have to play at a high level," he said. "There is a level of teams in South America and CONCACAF that is even. The differences are small and in those will be the difference for who wins the championship. Nobody denies that we are the reigning champion and we must be respected for that," he added.
Upon the arrival of Arturo Vidal, Pizzi said that "he looks good. It was his first workout, but he worked Friday with the trainer. He looks good despite having a busy season. He had enough days to recuperate."
