With courage and a superb demonstration, Estudiantes de La Plata was qualified tonight for the final of the 50th edition of the Libertadores Cup, an achievement it didn't get since 1971, when it imposed itself by 2-1 against a disoriented Nacional that didn't find the road to back, in a full Centenario stadium and without visitor supporters. Two goals by Mauro Boselli at the 52 and 91 minutes sealed in favor of the Argentinean team a preliminary round that it began with a good foot imposing itself 1-0 in La Plata.
<p>
Estudiantes, champion of the Libertadores in 1968, 1969 and 1970, will know tomorrow who its rival in the final will be between the two Brazilian clubs, Grêmio and Cruzeiro. The club led by Sebastian Verón defines a final in South America for the second serial time, after falling before Internacional of Porto Alegre last December for the South American Cup.

Mauro Boselli completed seven goals in his personal account and reached Paraguayan Jorge Núñez and Brazilian Rodrigo Teixeirain in the summit of the chart, whose teams, Nacional of Paraguay and Deportivo Cuenca, were already eliminated.
