We must place a strong emphasis on training. In the case of CONMEBOL, our goal is to train those who train others. This is something we have been working on for some time, and we have also involved FIFA in this process, because we believe it is essential to have South American trainers in both women’s and men’s football

– Inspiration and training for the next generation –

On August 1, the Instituto Superior Tecnológico de Fútbol de Quito (ISTFQ) hosted a special event for girls from schools and sports clubs. More than 80 participants enjoyed an unforgettable experience alongside leading figures from South American soccer and representatives from the ten Member Associations.

They highlighted the event as an opportunity to begin developing their skills, learn from great role models, and strengthen their love for the sport.

For the invited players and coaches, it was a unique opportunity to share their stories and reaffirm that the future of women’s soccer is in the hands of these new generations.

The event culminated with the official presentation of the new CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina™️ trophy and the awarding of medals to all participants, as a symbol of recognition and motivation.

– A firm commitment to women’s soccer –

These activities are part of the ongoing work that CONMEBOL has been carrying out since 2016 under the presidency of Alejandro Domínguez, through the Evolution Program. Initiatives such as “Born to be champions” reaffirm the commitment to continue building a women’s soccer that is increasingly strong, inclusive, and with international projection.
