Bolivian Yasmani Duk signs for the New York Cosmos

"My dream has come true. My goal is to do things right to stay there (USA)," said the player at a press conference who was also grateful to several directors who pushed his move to American football.

Striker Yasmani Duk, a key player for the Bolivian national team, signed for the New York Cosmos, the player himself announced on Thursday.

"My dream has come true. My goal is to do things right to stay there (USA)," said the player at a press conference who was also grateful to several directors who pushed his move to American football.

Twenty-seven year old Duk started out in the first division of football in 2010 for Oriente Petrolero. He then passed on to La Paz FC and Sport Boys. At Sport Boys he helped lead the club to the Apertura championship and a spot in the 2017 Copa Libertadores.

He caught the attention of Bolivian national team coach Julio Cesar Baldivieso, who called him up for the qualifying matches for Russia-2018 against Uruguay, Ecuador, Venezuela and Paraguay.

He scored a goal for Bolivia in their 2-1 loss against Paraguay.

Lengendary Spanish player Raul has played for the Cosmos since 2015.
