Uruguay confirmed on Thursday its eleventh starter for Saturday's friendly against Morocco, which will have a flavor of a party as Maximiliano Pereira celebrates 100 matches with the team.
For the friendly against Morocco, Uruguay will be with Fernando Muslera in goal; Maxi Pereira, Diego Godin and José Giménez in the back; Alvaro Pereira, Carlos Sanchez, Egidio Arévalo and Nicolas Lodeiro in midfield; and Jonathan Rodriguez, Diego Rolán and PSG striker Edinson Cavani in attack.
"I never imagined I would reach 100 caps. It's a great feeling having been here so many years," said Pereira in Portugal, where he is training with the Uruguayan team, as quoted by the newspaper El Pais of Uruguay.
"It's very important for any player," added Pereira who recalled that Diego Forlan, who recently announced his retirement from the team, has played the most games for Uruguay (112).
Pereira, 30, currently plays for Benfica in Portugal.
The friendly match will be held in Agadir, Morocco, at 7:00 pm GMT.
