U-17 World Cup: South America will be well represented by Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Paraguay

 

South America already knows its representatives for FIFA's U-17 World Cup to be held in Chile from October 17th to November 8th, as Brazil, currently 11-time champion of the tournament, Argentina, the runner-up team, Ecuador, with a third place finish and Paraguay, holding the last spot, all received passages to the world wide event.

The draw for FIFA's U-17 World Cup will be on August 6th in Santiago, Chile.  In this regard, Mr. Carlos Honorato, President of the Organizing Committee was at hand at the finale of the U-17 Sudamericano Tournament, in the city of Luque.

The Paraguayan Football Association hosted the event and according to CONMEBOL, it was a successful tournament which allowed the observance of many young future stars of South America and world football.

During the championship events there were no kinds of setbacks or any kind of delays, as the fans for each team have come to the stadiums and behaved peacefully.

As for sports, the always marvelous Brazilian team has earned its eleventh crown.  They had previously achieved it in the following campaigns: 1988, 1991, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011.

For the Brazilian team several names helped their cause immensely, like striker Leandro, who was the recipient of the Alberto Spencer trophy as the scorer of the tournament with 8 goals.
