Alternate Argentine goalkeeper Mariano Andujar, suffered a broken hand and had to leave the Copa America in Chile-2015, as reported on Monday.
Andujar, of club Napoli in Italy, will be replaced by Agustin Marchesin, of club Santo Laguna of Mexico, said the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in a statement.
"Andújar suffered in the pre-match warmup before the match against Jamaica a right wrist injury. After some tests he was diagnosed with a fractured right scaphoid," according to the medical report of the AFA.
"The coaching staff of the Argentina national team requested as a replacement, goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín, of club Santos Laguna of Mexico," added the announcement.
Marchesín was in the group of 30 players of coach Gerardo Martino before reducing the list to 23 players.
A goalkeeper is the only player who can be replaced once the competition starts, according to the regulations.
