The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) reminds the media that the initial accreditation process for the 2016 tournament Copa America Centenary will close on Friday, May 13 at 8 pm ET. After this date no applications will be accepted.
Members of the press may request media credentials visiting this link: (https://ems.fifa.com/
It should be noted that this initial application consists of a selection process to identify the means to be accredited for the tournament in general and does not accredit members of the media for specific games. Only approved media through the above link can apply for accreditation for a single game, which will take place through the Copa America Centenario Media Channel in the weeks leading up to the tournament.
Applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis, giving priority to those applying first, as there are a limited number of credentials available.
Approved applicants will be notified by email when a decision is made no later than Monday, May 23. Please do not contact the Local Organizing Committee, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL or requesting information on individual applications before this time, as there will be know replies to these requests.
The applications accepted will be invited to create an account on the Centenario Channel of the Media Cup, where one can apply for accreditation to a specific match and access to press conferences and mixed zones. Notifications and instructions for creating an account will be sent only to accredited media.
